The Institute of Public Administration (IPA) offers a range of courses suited to the needs of housing practitioners in the following areas:
- Dealing with Anti-Social Behaviour: Complaint to Court
- Prevention and Management of Aggression and Violence
- Designing and Facilitating Pre-tenancy Training
- Prevention and Management of Rent and Mortgage Arrears
- An Introduction to Property Inspection
- Negotiation Skills
The IPA in conjunction with the Affordable Homes Partnership also offers the following coureses:
- Introducatory Training Course - Part V Implementation Issues
- Intermediate Training Course - Part V Negotiation Skills
- Advanced Training Course - Cost, Compensation & Compliance
- Affordable Homes Toolkit Training
These courses are delivered for the Centre by experienced practitioners, and have an applied focus. All of the courses are delivered with supporting material, and most of them are based on specially designed Good Practice Guidelines, produced by the Centre. Participant numbers at each training event are kept low to allow for maximum participation.
